A comprehensive full year gymnastics program is offered to both PLC Sydney students and external students wishing to pursue either recreational or competitive gymnastics.

...building strength, flexibility and style...

Besides being fun, gymnastics has many benefits for kids of all ages.

One of the biggest benefits of gymnastics is building strength as nearly every activity in gymnastics requires a gymnast to carry or hold their body weight on either their feet or their hands.

Gymnastics helps wire a child’s brain for success.

It teaches children to believe in themselves and grow in their ability to do things. To achieve a skill, kids need to learn how to take onboard what their coach tells them and implement it. Gymnasts learn to have the discipline and commitment to attend every class. In addition, gymnasts acquire the determination to push through fears to achieve new skills.

Our gymnastics programs take place in Thompson Hall. Run by industry qualified, nurturing gymnastics staff, the programs caters for beginners to elite level gymnasts.

PLC Sydney has great classes for everyone!

Artistic Gymnastics

Artistic Gymnastics incorporates everything from vault, to uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercises. The sport involves physical strength, power, agility, flexibility, grace, control, coordination, and balance. Competitive artistic gymnastics is the most popular gymnastic events.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor, to music, with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon or rope. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics. Gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated.

Aerobic Gymnastics

Aerobic gymnastics or sport aerobics is highly competitive and originates from traditional aerobics in which complex, high-intensity movement patterns and elements of varying difficulty are performed to music.

When kids start gym classes at any early age, they learn so many different things — they build a lot of character, strength, flexibility, and courage. They can also learn to face their fears and develop a sense of fearlessness.
