Drama Captain

In 5 years time I hope to have completed a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney University and have started to establish myself as an actor in the film industry.

What is your fondest memory of your time at PLC Sydney?

My fondest memories at PLC Sydney have definitely been the school theatre productions each year and not for any lead role or speaking part but instead the unforgettable, hilarious and heartwarming moments that occur out of the blue during the rehearsal process. The friends I have made during PLC Sydney productions will be ones that I will cherish for a long time after I graduate.

If you could offer advice or a tip to someone about to do their final year, what would it be?

If I were giving someone advice about their final year I would say this: Although it may seem so in year 11 and 12, your ATAR truly does not impact your life as much as you are being told. Spend the last few years of highschool doing and learning what you love instead of spending an entire year becoming increasingly emotionally exhausted until you eventually burn out. Create healthy and lasting friendships with those around you, study because you are truly interested in the subject and content - in the wise words of Dr Golsby-Smith:" Learn to love and love to learn." - and enjoy the journey as frightening or exciting as it may be. Trust yourself and prioritise yourself. You can do this!

What the most valuable lesson you have learned at PLC Sydney?

The most valuable lesson I learned from PLC Sydney was to make sure my own voice is always heard no matter how worried I am about the way I might be perceived. Never take the word of authority as fact or truth but instead, consider multiple points of view and opinions before forming my own judgement on a matter.
