International Blazer Recipient, Academic - Science
My time at PLC Sydney opened my eyes to the many opportunities that were available, in terms of co-curriculars, competitions and experiences. There is no limit to what you can do!
What contributed to your HSC success?
Cultivating a love of learning - Year 12 requires a lot of hard work for each subject, so it's important that you're doing things you enjoy. Your love for a subject is a great motivator to get things done, and can inspire you to push yourself to achieve.
Also, the support of your friends. Although there may be some tough times during the year, being able to rely on your friends will really help you to keep going.
What is your fondest memory of your time at PLC Sydney?
My fondest time would be maths lessons with our accelerant class. The shared struggle towards the HSC really brought us together, and in the final months we formed a strong bond that made the journey a lot more enjoyable and less overwhelming. I also really enjoyed being a part of the debating family. Training together, getting to know students in the younger years and debating against different schools was a highlight of my time at PLC Sydney as it helped me feel more connected and improved my ability to communicate confidently.
What is the most valuable lesson you learned at PLC Sydney?
There is no limit to what you can do. My time at PLC Sydney opened my eyes to the many opportunities that were available, in terms of co-curriculars, competitions and experiences. Being here encouraged me to try new things that might have been out of my comfort zone, and many of these "leaps of faith" turned out to be some of my most worthwhile endeavours.
