How important was it for you to balance your academic focus with other activities? eg co-curricular activities

Extremely important. As an elite athlete maintaining a balance between my academics and sporting as well as making room for family, friends and myself was and still is super important. Sometimes this can be challenging and the balance does not always stay equal and so understanding where your priorities lie at certain periods in your life is so important. I came to acknowledge through my time at PLC that your attention to certain aspects of your life shifts constantly with new demands and personal needs and at the end of the day It's only you who has control over what you focus on.

If you could offer advice or a tip to someone about to do their final year, what would it be?

Be an active learner, if you don't understand a certain concept or theory don't be scared to ask questions and research into the topic yourself.
